Sharing your story

You may be wondering why I chose the tag line "Sharing your story" for my celebrancy business. After many years of studying literature and working as a teacher librarian, I've come to understand the importance of story in our lives.

When a person tells a story, they immediately spark a connection with others.

Humans beings have communicated through story since the beginning of time. Stories are passed down through the generations and throughout our cultures.

The phrase "Sharing your story" has two meanings. Firstly, it means that I'll share in part of your story, by being privileged to marry you. Secondly, during the ceremony I'll be sharing some of your story with those present.

Both of which will be a great honour for me.

I've created a questionnaire that I'll share with you online through the link or in print, if you would prefer. Your answers will help me understand the journey that brought you here, and tell me a little about you as individuals and as a couple. Examples of questions are:

• When and where did you meet?

• Have either of you been married before?

• Do you have children?

• What do you do for work?

• What are your interests?

• What is really important to you as a couple?

• What do you love about your partner?

• What do you have in common?

• Tell me about your families. Will they be at the ceremony?

• Do you have any pets that are dear to you?

• Is there anyone special who has passed, who you would like mentioned?

• Who will be in your wedding party?

• Anything else?
